IRJICC encourages the submission of the following manuscript types within the scope of Islamic Culture and Communication:

  • Original Research Articles

  • Review Articles (Systematic or Comprehensive)

  • Abstracts

  • Rapid Communications

  • Book Reviews

  • Letters to the Editor

  • Conference Proceedings

  • Hypotheses and Analyses

  • Announcements/Obituaries (Contextually Relevant)

Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

1. Manuscript Title

  • The title should be brief (preferably not more than 50 words) and accurately descriptive of the paper's content.

  • Abbreviations must not be included in the title.

2. Author Information

  • Provide the full names and current affiliations of all contributing authors.

  • Include complete contact details (Telephone, Fax, and E-mail address) for the corresponding author.

3. Abstract and Keywords

  • The Abstract must be informative, concise, and completely self-explanatory.

  • It should briefly present the topic, state the research goals, indicate significant methodologies, and summarize the major findings and conclusions.

  • The abstract should encapsulate the manuscript content in 300 words or less.

  • The preferred structure should include descriptions of the Study Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.

  • Standard nomenclature should be used, and abbreviations must be avoided in the abstract itself.

  • Following the abstract, a list of Keywords (3-10) should be incorporated.

4. Text Sections

Introduction:

  • The Introduction must clearly state the research problem/study objective, provide relevant context and literature review on the subject, and outline the proposed approach or solution.

  • It should be general enough to engage a reader from a broad range of related scholarly disciplines.

Materials and Methods / Research Methodology:

  • This section should provide a comprehensive overview of the design of the study.

  • Full descriptions of materials, participants, data sources, interventions, comparisons, and analytical approaches should be presented.

  • Only novel procedures should be described in detail; previously published procedures should be cited, with any important modifications briefly noted.

  • For social science/humanities focus: Clearly describe the research paradigm, data collection instruments, sample/corpus, and analytical framework (e.g., discourse analysis, thematic analysis).

Results:

  • The Results section must provide all complete details necessary to support the conclusion of the study.

  • Findings from the authors' experiments/analysis should be written in the past tense. Previously published findings should be written in the present tense.

  • Results and Discussion may be combined or kept separate. Guesswork, speculation, and detailed interpretation of data should be reserved for the Discussion section.

5. Acknowledgement

  • This section includes acknowledgment of individuals, funding sources, grant details, or any other relevant support received.

6. References / Citation Style

  • Only manuscripts that have been published or accepted for publication should be included in the reference list. Meeting abstracts, conference talks, or papers submitted but not yet accepted must not be cited.

  • Personal communications should be supported by a letter from the relevant author(s).

  • IRJICC uses the numbered citation (citation-sequence) method. References are listed and numbered in the sequence they first appear in the text.

  • In the text, citations should be indicated by the reference number in square brackets (e.g.,

    $$1$$

    ,

    $$5-7, 28$$

    ).

  • Reference List Formatting: Authors are requested to provide an online link (DOI or URL) for each reference where possible. Please use the following style:

    • Published Papers (Journal Article):

Liokmli UK (1970) Emerging proteins for the treatment and evaluation of bacteriophage T4. Nature 257: 580-585.

Note: List the first five authors and then add "et al." if there are additional authors.

    • Books:

Zghng X (2016) Bioinformatics tools for differential analysis of proteomic expression profiling data from clinical samples. CC CRC Press.

    • Electronic Journal Articles/Websites:

      Entrez Programming Utilities. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NGH28690/

7. Tables

  • Tables should be used sparingly and designed for simplicity and clarity.

  • IRJICC strongly encourages authors to submit tables in .doc format.

  • Tables should be double-spaced, numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals, and provided with a clear heading and a legend.

  • Tables must be self-explanatory without reference to the text.

  • The same data should not be presented in both table and graph form or repeated extensively in the text.

8. Figures and Images

  • The suggested file formats for images are .doc, TIFF, and JPEG.

  • All images must be at or above intended display size. Image resolutions should meet the following minimums: Line Art 800 dpi, Combination (Line Art + Halftone) 600 dpi, Halftone 300 dpi.

  • Use Arabic numerals to designate figures (e.g., Figure 1) and upper-case letters for their parts (e.g., Figure 1A).

  • Figure Legends: Should be typed in numerical order on a separate sheet. Start each legend with a title and provide enough description so the figure is understandable without reading the main text.

9. Supplementary Information (Optional)

  • IRJICC maintains an online repository for supplemental information (e.g., detailed methods, extra data, validation results) not included in the hardcopy.

  • Supplementary Information files must be submitted with the manuscript.

  • They are preferably submitted as a single PDF file. Images should be a maximum size of 640 x 480 pixels.

10. Conflict of Interest and Plagiarism

  • Conflict of Interest: Potential conflicts of interest must be reported at the time of manuscript submission. Any research funding or other support from outside the authors' stated affiliation needs to be disclosed within the manuscript.

  • Plagiarism: IRJICC uses specialized software to screen submissions for content published elsewhere. By submitting, authors accept that their manuscript may be screened and checked against previously published work. Authors are required to cite and reference any ideas or words taken from the intellectual work of yourself or others (published or unpublished), including the authors' own previously published work.
