ADMINISTRATIVE PRINCIPLES OF CRISIS MANAGEMENT IN THE SEERAH OF PROPHET :AN ANALYTICAL STUDY OF MAKKAH AND MADINA ERAﷺ MUHAMMAD

Crisis Management has emerged as a distinct discipline in contemporary administrative and organizational studies. Governments, institutions, and societies continuously face economic, political, social, psychological, and military crises that require effective management strategies. While modern management theories offer various frameworks for dealing with such challenges, the Holy Qur’an provides timeless and comprehensive principles that address crises at both material and moral levels. This study aims to explore the administrative principles of crisis management embedded within selected Qur’anic narratives through a descriptive, analytical, and exegetical approach.The research focuses on four significant Qur’anic case studies: the economic and food-security crisis managed by Prophet Yusuf (A.S.), the political and psychological crisis faced by Prophet Musa (A.S.) and the Children of Israel, the military and morale crisis following the Battle of Uhud, and the resource-distribution crisis addressed in Surah Al-Anfal after the Battle of Badr. Through the analysis of Qur’anic verses and classical exegeses, the study identifies key administrative principles such as proactive planning, resource management, merit-based leadership, psychological resilience, institutional accountability, consultative governance, conflict resolution, and transparent legislation.The findings reveal that the Qur’an does not merely narrate historical events; rather, it presents practical administrative models that remain relevant for contemporary organizations and states. The study concludes that the application of Qur’anic crisis-management principles can contribute significantly to sustainable governance, organizational stability, and social harmony in the modern world.
