SCIENTIFIC ASPECTS OF THE MIRACLE OF THE QURAN: AN ANALYTICAL AND RESEARCH STUDY

The Qur’an, as the final divine revelation, encompasses numerous dimensions of miraculous expression (I‘jāz al-Qur’an), among which the scientific aspect holds significant importance in contemporary discourse. This study aims to explore the scientific dimensions of the Qur’an by analyzing selected verses that correspond to modern scientific discoveries. The Qur’an, revealed in the 7th century, contains references to natural phenomena, cosmology, embryology, geology, and other scientific domains that were unknown to humanity at the time of its revelation.This research examines how certain Qur’anic descriptions—such as the expansion of the universe, the development of the human embryo, the barriers between seas, and the water cycle—align with established scientific knowledge. The study adopts a qualitative and analytical approach, utilizing classical tafsir alongside modern scientific interpretations to evaluate the relationship between revelation and empirical science.The findings suggest that the accuracy and depth of these references cannot be attributed to human knowledge of the time, thereby supporting the view that the Qur’an is of divine origin. However, the study also emphasizes the need for careful interpretation to avoid overstatement and to maintain a balanced approach between scientific inquiry and theological understanding.In conclusion, the scientific dimension of the Qur’an serves as a powerful sign of its miraculous nature and continues to inspire both faith and intellectual reflection in the modern age.
